Job Description - Oncology Staff Nurse

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients, including chemotherapy administration, patient monitoring, and management of treatment-related side effects, while ensuring patient safety and compliance with clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

* Administer chemotherapy safely according to prescribed treatment protocols.

* Monitor patients for adverse reactions and chemotherapy-related complications.

* Educate patients and families on treatment plans and side-effect management.

* Maintain accurate nursing documentation and follow infection control and patient safety standards.

* Collaborate with oncologists and the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.

* Valid SCFHS registration and classification.

* Valid BLS certification.

* Previous oncology nursing 3 year experience with hands-on chemotherapy administration.
