Role Description The Solar Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Al Khobar. The Solar Engineer will design, analyze, and optimize solar power and photovoltaic (PV) systems for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale projects. Daily tasks include performing site assessments, preparing technical drawings and electrical schematics, developing system layouts, and conducting performance simulations. The role involves coordinating with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and client requirements. The Solar Engineer will also support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities, and contribute to technical documentation and project reports.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in the solar industry, including practical knowledge of solar power generation and solar systems.
• Candidates should possess skills in PV design and solar system configuration, including system sizing, layout optimization, and performance analysis.
• Candidates should possess capabilities in electrical design for solar projects, including wiring diagrams, load calculations, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with solar design and simulation software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD or similar tools).
• Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to safety, quality, and detail.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess prior experience in solar project execution in the GCC region; knowledge of Saudi regulations and standards is an advantage.
