Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for accurately recording daily financial transactions and managing receipts, payments, expenses, and payroll. The role includes executing bank transfers, preparing monthly and closing entries, maintaining secure and organized financial records, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting entries. The Accountant is also responsible for reconciling customer, bank, and supplier balances and resolving any discrepancies.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Accurately record all daily financial transactions.
2. Process and record receipts and payments on a daily basis.
3. Record daily expenses and prepare payroll statements.
4. Execute bank transfers and monitor banking operations.
5. Prepare monthly accounting entries and closing entries.
6. Maintain secure, organized, and accessible financial records.
7. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all accounting entries.
8. Conduct periodic reconciliations of customer, bank, and supplier balances to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

Minimum Education Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.

Professional Certifications Required

• SOCPA Certificate.
