Job Title: Cost Accountant

Reports To: Finance Manager / Financial Controller
Job PurposeThe Cost Accountant is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling the company's operational and production costs. This role supports management by providing accurate cost analysis, profitability reports, and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze periodic cost reports.
- Calculate and maintain product and service costs.
- Monitor raw material consumption, inventory, and waste.
- Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Participate in inventory counts and reconcile inventory records.
- Prepare profitability reports by product, branch, or business unit.
- Work closely with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review purchase invoices and ensure proper cost allocation.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the food & beverage, retail, or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
