Role Description The Cost Accountant role at Shovel Roastery | محمصة شڤل is a full-time, on-site position based in the Riyadh Region. The Cost Accountant will monitor and analyze production and operational costs, prepare cost reports, and support pricing decisions for products. Responsibilities include maintaining cost accounting records, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and providing data-driven insights to improve cost efficiency. The Cost Accountant will collaborate closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and compliance with internal policies.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Cost Accounting, including product costing, variance analysis, and cost control.
- Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret Financial Statements to support management decision-making.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for evaluating cost structures, identifying trends, and recommending improvements.
- Proficiency in Journal Entries (Accounting) and core Finance principles, including general ledger management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CMA) is an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, or roasting operations is preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
- Attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to work on-site in a collaborative team environment in the Riyadh Region.
