We are looking for a GIS Specialist to manage spatial data and prepare maps for road construction projects, working closely with surveyors, site engineers, consultants, and the project management team.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant GIS experience, including road or transportation infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and QGIS for spatial data management, analysis, and map production.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for importing and converting road drawings and survey data into GIS layers.
• Experience in creating and maintaining geospatial databases for road networks and associated assets, including drainage structures, culverts, signs, and street lighting.
• Ability to integrate field survey data, GNSS measurements, construction drawings, and as-built records into GIS.
• Strong understanding of coordinate systems, map projections, and coordinate transformations.
• Experience in road referencing using routes, chainage, and asset locations.
• Ability to verify spatial accuracy, correct topology errors, and maintain complete asset attributes.
• Ability to prepare maps and spatial reports supporting construction progress monitoring and project handover.
• Ability to maintain organized GIS records, metadata, and deliverables in accordance with client requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, effective teamwork, and coordination with survey and engineering teams.
