Role Purpose:

The Civil Engineer II is responsible for assisting in the design, analysis, and execution of civil engineering projects. This role focuses on supporting senior engineers in delivering high-quality engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Civil Engineer II will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to various infrastructure projects.

Key Activities:

• Assist in the design and development of civil engineering projects, including roadways, drainage systems, and utilities.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and modelling to support project activities.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Ensure that all documentation complies with relevant codes and standards.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and assess project conditions.
• Assist in evaluating project feasibility and identifying potential challenges.
• Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss progress and address issues.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.
• Seek opportunities for professional growth and development through training and mentorship.

Necessary Knowledge and Experience:

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in civil engineering or related fields.
• Familiarity with project management processes and civil engineering design principles.

Education and Certification Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is preferred; professional engineering license (PE) is a plus.
