Job Title: Logistics and Transport Manager

Location: Saudi Arabia

Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead our supply chain and transportation operations for major infrastructure projects, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with project schedules and organizational objectives.
• Prepare and manage transportation and logistics budgets while identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
• Monitor transportation performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, fleet utilization, and logistics costs.
• Collaborate with procurement, project management, engineering, and site teams to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
• Lead demand forecasting and logistics planning to support multiple concurrent projects.
• Manage fleet operations, including vehicle allocation, maintenance scheduling, fuel consumption, and driver performance (where applicable).
• Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify logistics risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions to project execution.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities and documentation for imported construction materials, machinery, and equipment.
• Oversee warehouse layout optimization, inventory accuracy, stock reconciliation, and cycle counting processes.
• Implement and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), and ERP logistics modules.
• Analyze logistics data and prepare periodic reports on operational performance, costs, inventory levels, and transportation efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or other process improvement methodologies.
• Ensure effective planning and execution of last-mile deliveries to project sites, including remote and challenging locations.
• Manage emergency logistics requirements and expedite critical shipments to prevent project delays.
• Lead, mentor, and develop logistics, warehouse, and transportation teams, ensuring high levels of performance and compliance.
• Conduct regular audits of warehouses, transport operations, and logistics documentation to ensure operational excellence.
• Coordinate with HSE teams to ensure safe loading, unloading, lifting, transportation, and storage of materials and equipment.
• Support project mobilization and demobilization activities by coordinating the movement of personnel, equipment, and temporary facilities.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 12-15 years of logistics experience, specifically within the contracting or construction industries.

Qualification Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field.

Certification Requirements:

• Professional certifications like CPSM or CLTD are a distinct advantage
