Job Title: Mechanical QA/ QC Inspector

Department: Quality Management Department

Report To: QA/ QC Manager

Location: Qiddiya, Saudi Arabia

Availability: Immediately (Preferred)

We are looking for a QA/QC Inspector - Mechanical to join our Quality Management Department and support the successful delivery of construction/EPC projects in accordance with project, client, contractual, and statutory quality requirements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical materials, installation works, inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality documentation comply with approved Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct inspections of mechanical installations in accordance with approved ITPs, drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Inspect HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, and mechanical equipment installations.
• Verify equipment installation, alignment, dimensions, tolerances, supports, bolt torque, embedment, and workmanship.
• Witness and document pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, flushing, welding, NDT, and other mechanical tests.
• Inspect delivered materials against approved submittals, purchase orders, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Client QA/QC, third-party inspectors, and laboratory personnel.
• Prepare Inspection Requests, inspection reports, checklists, test records, and other QC documentation.
• Identify quality issues and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required.
• Follow up corrective actions and support timely NCR closure.
• Participate in FAT/SAT, mechanical commissioning, punch-list inspections, and snag clearance.
• Support preparation of the final QC dossier and handover documentation, including test certificates, calibration records, as-built documentation, and warranties.
• Contribute to quality KPIs, lessons learned, continuous improvement, and a Right-First-Time quality culture.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements; knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards, project specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Relevant certification in Welding Inspection, Coating Inspection, or other mechanical inspection disciplines is an advantage.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in QA/QC, inspection, or quality control.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant inspection experience in construction or EPC projects.
• Proven experience in a Mechanical QA/QC Inspector role on similar projects.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping, mechanical equipment installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Experience in pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, flushing, welding inspection, NDT coordination, and mechanical alignment verification.
• Experience implementing and working with ITPs, Work Inspection Checklists, Inspection Requests, NCRs, and quality documentation.
• Experience participating in FAT/SAT, commissioning, punch-list clearance, and project handover activities.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, third-party inspectors, laboratories, construction teams, and engineering departments.

KEY Skills

• Good command of English language, both written and spoken.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, Aconex, construction/document management systems is preferred.
