Job Purpose:

The Revenue Assurance Director is responsible for safeguarding the company’s financial integrity by ensuring that all revenue generated is accurately recorded, collected, and reported. The role focuses on identifying and eliminating revenue leakage, improving billing accuracy, and strengthening internal financial controls across all revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Control and Compliance

• Establish and maintain a robust revenue assurance framework within the Finance function.
• Ensure all revenue processes comply with accounting standards, financial regulations, and internal policies.
• Work closely with the CFO and internal audit team to strengthen financial governance and transparency.

2. Revenue Assurance and Monitoring

• Oversee end-to-end revenue flow - from transaction initiation to cash collection - ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and mitigate risks of revenue leakage across systems, products, and business units.
• Develop and monitor KPIs related to revenue efficiency, accuracy, and recovery.

3. Data Integrity and Systems Control

• Collaborate with IT, Billing, and Operations teams to improve data accuracy between financial and operational systems.
• Implement and optimize system controls, automation tools, and reconciliation mechanisms.
• Lead periodic audits and reconciliation exercises across revenue systems.

4. Reporting and Analysis

• Provide accurate and timely reporting on revenue performance, variances, and recovery trends.
• Present analytical insights and recommendations to improve revenue collection, forecasting, and financial accuracy.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by ensuring revenue data integrity.

5. Leadership and Continuous Improvement

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Revenue Assurance team to maintain high standards of financial control.
• Drive continuous improvement in revenue-related processes and policies.
• Support Finance leadership in strategic initiatives related to profitability and cost optimization.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or CPA/CA/CMA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, audit, or revenue assurance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and internal control frameworks.
