Procurement Supervisor

Ambatt Contracting Company is seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our team in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction procurement, particularly in MEP, Civil, and Architectural materials, with proven experience in supplier management, commercial negotiations, technical and commercial evaluations, and ensuring timely material delivery to project sites.

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute daily procurement activities for multiple construction projects.
• Prepare, issue, and follow up on Requests for Quotation (RFQs) with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of quotations and recommend the most competitive offers based on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Prepare purchase orders and monitor the procurement cycle from requisition to site delivery.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Technical Office, Site Teams, Warehouse, QS, and Finance departments.
• Monitor Long Lead Items and maintain procurement schedules to support project timelines.
• Ensure all procured materials comply with project specifications, approved submittals, and client requirements.
• Develop, evaluate, and maintain supplier and subcontractor performance records.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and requirements, including SABER, SASO, FASAH, and Local Content, where applicable.
• Maintain procurement documentation and records through ERP systems, preferably Odoo.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of procurement experience, preferably within construction companies in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong experience in procuring MEP materials, including:
• Fire Fighting Systems
• HVAC Systems
• Plumbing & Drainage
• Sanitary Ware & Accessories
• Low Current Systems
• Electrical Cables
• LV Panels
• Lighting Fixtures
• Cable Trays & Trunking
• EMT & PVC Conduits and Fittings
• Good knowledge of Civil and Architectural construction materials.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills.
• Strong experience preparing technical and commercial comparison sheets.
• Extensive knowledge of the Saudi supplier and subcontractor market.
• Experience using ERP systems (Odoo is preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage procurement activities across multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, CIPS, Lean, or Six Sigma are considered an advantage.
• Previous experience working on government, ROSHN, NHC, or other large-scale construction projects within Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.
