We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Procurement Officer to support the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain activities of our retail business.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring products, supplies, and services are procured efficiently, delivered on time, and maintained at optimal inventory levels. This role requires strong coordination with suppliers, logistics partners, warehouse, finance, and retail teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Source products, suppliers, and services from local and international markets.
- Prepare and process purchase orders while ensuring compliance with procurement procedures.
- Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and recommend cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely order confirmations and deliveries.
- Track shipments and liaise with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
- Monitor inventory levels and support timely stock replenishment.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
- Work closely with Retail, Warehouse, and Finance teams to support operational requirements.
- Assist in resolving supplier issues, delivery delays, and procurement-related concerns.
- Support procurement reporting, supplier performance tracking, and continuous process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management.
- Retail procurement experience is preferred.
- Experience working with imported products or international suppliers is an advantage.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience using ERP or procurement systems is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
