The Role

As a Pool Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of all pool areas on the property. You will ensure that the pools, surrounding areas, and equipment are kept to the highest standards of hygiene and safety, providing a pleasant and safe experience for our guests. Your role will involve daily cleaning, monitoring of water quality, and ensuring the maintenance of all pool-related equipment and facilities.

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Pool Cleaner you will need to:

• Clean and maintain all pools, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing the pool surfaces, walls, and floor to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
• Monitor and maintain pool water quality, ensuring proper chemical balance and adjusting water treatments as necessary to ensure safe and healthy conditions.
• Ensure the proper functioning of pool filtration, cleaning, and water circulation systems, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Inspect pool deck and surrounding areas for cleanliness, safety hazards, and ensure they are free from debris, litter, and any obstructions.
• Regularly clean and maintain poolside furniture, tiles, and other equipment to uphold high hygiene standards and a welcoming environment for guests.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and lighting systems, and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
• Ensure that pool safety equipment, such as life vests, ropes, and safety signage, are in place and in good condition.
• Report any damage, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the Pool Supervisor for further action.
• Assist with pool-related emergencies, including ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of changing rooms, showers, and surrounding areas, ensuring they are sanitized and fully stocked with necessary amenities.
• Assist with setting up and closing down pool areas for daily operation, including arranging poolside furniture and preparing for events or guest activities.
• Follow health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the safety of guests and team members in pool areas.
• Support the team with any additional duties related to the pool and outdoor areas as needed.
• Ensure the maintenance of an organized and safe work environment, including proper storage and handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Maintain accurate records of pool water testing, maintenance activities, and any repairs or replacements required for pool equipment.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on the best practices in pool maintenance and safety.
• Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring that the pool area remains clean, safe, and inviting at all times.
• Perform any other duties as required to support the operation of the pool area and the wider property.
