Job Summary:
The Senior Electrical Manager is responsible for leading and managing all electrical engineering and construction activities throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures that electrical systems are designed, installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and budget requirements. The Senior Electrical Manager works closely with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all electrical engineering and construction activities
- Manage electrical design reviews and ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines
- Review and approve electrical drawings, specifications, technical submittals, and material selections
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans
- Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical systems
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during project execution
- Lead, mentor, and develop electrical engineering teams
- Evaluate contractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and management presentations
- Support procurement activities by reviewing technical bids and vendor proposals
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree is an advantage)
- Professional Engineering certification is preferred
- PMP certification is an advantage
