Job Description

The Head of Public Sector Partnerships will be a senior executive responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision for public sector collaborations that align with our organization's mission and goals. The incumbent will leverage extensive knowledge of public policy, partnership dynamics, and sector challenges to create innovative solutions that drive mutual value for both our organization and governmental bodies. This role requires a proven track record of successful leadership in multi-stakeholder relationships, effective negotiation, and a deep understanding of public sector frameworks and funding mechanisms. Additionally, the Head of Public Sector Partnerships will guide a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards.

Job Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in partnership development or public sector engagement, including significant leadership roles.
• A thorough understanding of public sector policies, regulations, and funding mechanisms across local, state, and federal levels.
• Proven track record of managing complex projects and initiatives that engage multiple stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate partnership opportunities, assess risks, and measure impact effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior government officials and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages innovation.
• Experience in strategic planning and executing large-scale initiatives within public and nonprofit organizations.

• Master’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the public sector, including government officials, agency leaders, and community organizations.
• Identify, negotiate, and execute strategic partnerships that advance organizational interests while addressing public sector needs.
• Oversee the development of joint initiatives, including grant applications, funding proposals, and project plans that leverage community resources and expertise.
• Lead cross-functional teams responsible for executing partnership initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
• Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, reporting results to executive leadership and making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
• Advocate for the organization’s mission and vision in public forums, effectively communicating the value of collaborations with public entities.
• Conduct market research and policy analysis to stay informed on emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the public sector landscape.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all partnership activities, maintaining transparency and accountability.
• Represent the organization at public sector events, conferences, and forums to strengthen relationships and enhance visibility.
