Job Description:

The General Practitioner (GP) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered medical care within our organization. This mid-career position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented professional who possesses excellent diagnostic skills and the capability to manage a diverse patient population. The GP will be responsible for evaluating and treating a wide range of medical conditions, conducting comprehensive physical examinations, and developing tailored treatment plans. Job Requirements:

• A medical degree from an accredited institution (MD or DO) with completion of residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice as a General Practitioner in the respective state.
• A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a diverse healthcare setting, with a proven track record in family practice or primary care.
• Strong understanding of healthcare legislation and policies, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH, and patient safety regulations.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to ensure efficient patient management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and active listening in patient interactions.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments and formulate comprehensive treatment and management plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Capacity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize health outcomes.
• Knowledge of community health resources and the ability to navigate patients in accessing appropriate services.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively, balancing patient care with administrative responsibilities.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and the pursuit of continuing medical education (CME) credits to maintain certification and enhance skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through thorough histories and physical examinations to identify health issues and develop diagnostic hypotheses.
• Develop and implement appropriate and individualized treatment plans and preventive care strategies in collaboration with patients and their families.
• Manage chronic illnesses, acute care, and preventative services, advocating for patient education and self-management.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements, ensuring patient confidentiality is upheld.
• Provide timely referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers when necessary, facilitating communication to safeguard continuity of care.
• Educate patients regarding their health conditions, treatment options, medication adherence, and preventive health measures, fostering a proactive approach to wellness.
• Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and operational efficiency within the primary care clinic.
