Title: Risk Governance and Regulatory Reporting Senior Manager

Core Responsibilities:
- Prepare and author the Bi-monthly Operational and Resilience Risk Committee (ORRC) pack, coordinating submissions from stakeholders across the bank. Perform secretary role of the Operational and Resilience Risk Committee (ORRC) ensuring smooth running of the meeting and timely issuance of the minutes of meeting.
- Analyze inputs from the annual effectiveness review of the Operational and Resilience Risk Committee (ORRC) to determine appropriate actions to be taken.
- Prepares and authors the monthly Risk Management Committee (RMC), quarterly Board Risk Committee (BRC) and Audit Committee (AUCOM) submissions to ensure to ensure appropriate visibility of operational risk’s, controls, issues, and events to drive senior management decision making.
- Support Head of Operational Risk on any other ad-hoc governance and reporting submissions.
- Analyze the operational risk’s, controls, issues, and events data to provide key insights and trends to Senior Management through various committee packs.
- Monitors Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), heat maps and SAB risk profile with the aim of holistic reporting and analysis of the operational risk environment, emerging risk factors, losses as well as near misses in a timely and accurate manner, as well as monitoring preventative thresholds and trends.
- Coordinates annual update of Awwal Principles, Process of SAB Manuals, Risk Management Framework and Risk Culture Framework.
- Maintains and updates any other Policies and Procedures owned by Operational Risk including the Departmental Instruction Manual (DIM).
- Update the annual operational risk related training material in coordination with Human Resources.
- The Senior Manager role will have one direct report to support delivery of all requirements.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management. Masters degree is preferred.
- Around 8 years of experience with preferred 5 years in a relevant role.
