Role Description This full-time فني مختبر (Laboratory Technician) role at Dr. Hospital Hala Issa bin Laden is an on-site position based in Jiddah. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for receiving, labeling, and processing patient specimens in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Daily tasks include performing routine laboratory tests, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, and accurately recording and reporting results to medical staff. The role also involves preparing reagents and solutions, maintaining clean and organized work areas, and supporting quality control and assurance activities. The Laboratory Technician collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely, reliable diagnostic services and contributes to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency in basic laboratory techniques, including specimen collection, handling, and processing.
• Ability to perform routine diagnostic tests, operate laboratory instruments, and follow standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to maintain organized records and documentation.
• Knowledge of infection control, biosafety practices, and proper use of personal protective equipment in a clinical laboratory.
• Effective communication skills to work with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and provide clear, concise test information.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Relevant professional certification or licensure as required by local regulations is preferred.
• Experience in hospital or clinical laboratory settings is an advantage.
