Role Description The Fire Fighting System Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Dammam. This role involves installing, testing, and maintaining fire protection systems, including pumps, sprinklers, detectors, control panels, and related hardware in industrial and commercial facilities. The technician conducts routine inspections, performs troubleshooting and corrective maintenance, and ensures all systems comply with relevant codes, safety standards, and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with engineers and site supervisors, documenting work performed, and supporting commissioning activities and final handovers. The role also requires adherence to strict safety protocols and collaboration with project teams to deliver reliable, fully functional fire protection solutions.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with fire protection systems, including installation, testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts for fire alarm and suppression systems.
• Knowledge of relevant fire safety codes, standards (e.g., NFPA or equivalent), and local regulatory requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and control components within fire fighting systems.
• Experience working on industrial and commercial sites, preferably within electrical, mechanical, or safety-related disciplines.
• Solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles related to pumps, valves, piping, and control panels.
• Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades on-site.
• Commitment to strict safety practices, use of PPE, and compliance with company and site-specific HSE policies.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation, service reports, and test records for systems and equipment.
• Relevant technical diploma, certificate, or vocational training in fire systems, electrical, or mechanical fields; previous experience in fire protection or related areas is highly preferred.
• Willingness to work on-site in Dammam and, when required, travel to project locations within the region.
• Experiance in troubleshooting Jocky pumps/ Diesel etc
