Role Description The Low Current Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Dammam, responsible for installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low current systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, PA systems, and structured cabling. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring diagrams, routing and terminating cables, configuring devices, and performing functional tests to ensure systems operate according to project specifications and relevant standards. The role involves collaborating with engineers and project supervisors, supporting commissioning activities, documenting work completed, and reporting issues or risks in a timely manner. The technician also assists with preventive and corrective maintenance, adheres to safety procedures, and helps ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and to required quality levels.

Qualifications

• Practical skills in low current systems, including installation, testing, and maintenance of CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and related security systems.
• Ability to read and work from electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation, with sound understanding of cabling, terminations, and panel work.
• Knowledge of basic electrical principles, safety standards, and relevant local codes and regulations for low voltage and low current applications.
• Experience using hand tools, test equipment (e.g., multimeters, continuity testers), and diagnostic instruments for troubleshooting and system verification.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify and resolve technical issues under supervision or independently.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with readiness to coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and site teams in a multicultural environment.
• High school diploma or technical/vocational certificate in electrical, electronics, or related field; additional specialized training in low current systems is an advantage.
• Previous experience in low current, electrical contracting, or security systems in industrial or commercial projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred.
• Commitment to following health, safety, and environmental procedures, and willingness to work on-site, including at client facilities
