Founding Account Executive

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia · Reports to the CEO · Full-time · Saudi nationals

Why Pyxos

At Pyxos, we are transforming how data privacy compliance gets done. The incumbent platforms are systems of record. They organize compliance work through forms, templates, checklists, and status fields, and the compliance team still performs all the work. Pyxos builds AI agents that execute the work itself. Our agents execute the core workflows to help companies remain compliant with data privacy laws, including building records of processing activities, drafting impact assessments, triaging data subject requests, and reviewing vendor contracts, with human-in-the-loop oversight.

With over 140 different data privacy laws, nearly every company in the world operates under a complex data privacy framework. Data privacy software is a $4.5B market growing 37% annually, with growth driven by mounting complexity: increasing use of data, frequent breaches, rising enforcement and fines, and resource-constrained teams.

Pyxos was incubated at NEOM in Saudi Arabia. We are starting in Saudi Arabia, where data privacy law is new and the market for solutions is still early. We will then expand across the GCC, and into the EU, UK, and US. The platform is in production, with a paying enterprise customer and eight strong design-partner pilots in Saudi Arabia and the UAE. A ten-member panel of former regulators, sitting DPOs, lawyers and consultants shapes how the agents reason and act.

The founding team is senior, led by a six-time venture-backed technology CEO with four significant exits, and by an operations leader with more than 25 years of experience in compliance. The team is deliberately small, and we use AI throughout everything we do to keep it that way. This role is a founding position right at the Series Seed closing, after 18 months of market research, product development, and go-to-market progress.

Role Overview

You will be the first on-the-ground salesperson in Saudi Arabia and the face of the company in the Kingdom. This is a founding commercial role, not a seat on an established sales team. Working directly with the founders, you will bring Pyxos formally into the market: you will build your own pipeline, run your own deals, and close them, and what you learn in the field will shape the playbook, the pricing, and the product.

The selling is demanding in a specific way. The PDPL is young, enforcement is accelerating, and most Saudi enterprises have never bought privacy software. Part of every deal is education: helping a DPO, general counsel, or compliance leader understand what the law requires and what an AI-native platform does differently. The other part is competition: the global incumbents are present in the region, and you will need to win against systems of record with a platform that executes the work itself. Your buyers sit in legal, compliance, and risk, with IT and security as gatekeepers. Your first-year focus is direct commercial sales to private-sector enterprises, not RFP-driven government procurement.

You do not start from zero. Pyxos has already established its brand in the Kingdom through our Saudi PDPL Masterclass program, our in-person events for DPOs (the next is October 19), and our pilot program, and we hold standing relationships with DPOs at major enterprises across Saudi Arabia. You inherit those relationships, the paying customer and design partners described above, deals in flight with the CEO, and an outbound engine already producing meetings. Your first job is to convert this base, and the pipeline you generate behind it, into closed annual contracts and reference customers.

We are an AI-first company, and that includes sales. You will work inside an AI-instrumented outbound and pipeline system built by our go-to-market engineering partner, and you should expect AI to handle much of the research, drafting, and administration so your time goes to prospects. You report to the CEO until a sales leader is hired.

What You'll Do

•     Own the pipeline end to end. Source, qualify, run, and close your own opportunities across KSA and the broader GCC. There is no SDR team behind you; we treat self-generated pipeline as the clearest indicator of a founding account executive, and it is how we will evaluate you.

•     Sell alongside the founders. Work deals jointly with the CEO in the early months, then take increasing ownership as the motion becomes repeatable.

•     Educate the market and beat the incumbents. Run consultative cycles that build urgency around PDPL compliance and win competitive evaluations against established global platforms.

•     Sell to the real buyers. Build relationships with DPOs, legal, compliance, and risk leaders, and navigate IT, security, and procurement to signature.

•     Sell in person. In this market, trust is built face to face, over time, before the first proposal. This is not a remote-selling role; expect to spend most of your week with prospects, partners, and customers, not on video calls.

•     Develop the channel. Activate and grow relationships with systems integrators, consultancies, and law firms that influence and resell in the Kingdom and put our advisory panel's relationships to work in your accounts.

•     Build the playbook. Codify what works: qualification criteria, talk tracks, objection handling, and deal stages. Your field learning becomes the company's sales system.

•     Feed the product. Bring structured market and competitive intelligence back to product and leadership; at this stage, you are the company's primary sensor in the market.

•     Represent Pyxos. Show up at industry events, roundtables, and executive briefings as a credible voice on data privacy in the Kingdom.

What You Have

•     Saudi nationality. This role requires a Saudi national. Your credibility with Saudi enterprises, and the relationships that come with being of the market rather than merely in it, are central to the role.

•     3-5 years of enterprise sales in KSA and the GCC. You have sold business software to enterprises in the Kingdom and the wider Gulf, and you understand how buying decisions are actually made here.

•     1-2 years selling AI-enabled applications. You can explain what an AI product does, demonstrate it with confidence, and handle the trust, accuracy, and data questions that come with it.

•     Early-stage experience. You have worked at a startup or small company, ideally as a founding or first account executive. A career spent entirely inside very large sales organizations, with pipeline handed to you and a machine behind you, will not prepare you for this role.

•     A verifiable quota record. You have hit or exceeded quota and can walk us through the evidence: named deals, deal sizes, cycle lengths, and the references who will confirm them.

•     New-category and competitive selling. You have sold a product the market did not yet know it needed, and you have also won head-to-head against entrenched competitors. You can describe both, deal by deal.

•     Experience with non-IT buyers. You have sold to legal, compliance, risk, or other executive buyers outside the IT organization, and you know how their evaluation and approval processes differ.

•     A strong network. You bring working relationships with systems integrators, channel partners, and the advisory ecosystem that shapes enterprise technology decisions in the Kingdom.

•     Pipeline discipline. You run a clean, current CRM, forecast honestly, and manage a multi-stage process across long cycles without being managed into it.

•     An AI-forward working style. You already use AI in your own selling, for research, preparation, drafting, and follow-up, and you want a system built around it rather than a tool you tolerate.

•     Arabic and English. Full professional proficiency in both, including presenting and negotiating.

Nice to Have

•     Compliance or governance software. Experience selling privacy, GRC, security, or adjacent regulatory software.

•     Regulated verticals. Relationships or track record in financial services, telecom, or healthcare, where PDPL enforcement pressure is arriving first.

•     Government procurement. Familiarity with Etimad and public-sector purchasing. Not a first-year focus, but valuable as we expand.

Logistics

Based in Riyadh, with regular travel across the Kingdom and the GCC. Competitive base salary and commission plan for an early-stage company, with equity participation.

The Process

Initial conversation with the CEO, followed by a meeting with the COO, a working session in which you walk through two deals from your record and present how you would build pipeline in your first 90 days, and references, including back-channel references through our network. Offer. Targeting three weeks from first conversation to decision.

Saudi nationality is a requirement of this role. In all other respects, Pyxos hires on the basis of capability, judgment, and fit with what we are building, and we will make reasonable adjustments through the interview process on request.
