المهام والمسؤوليات

  • العمل كمدرس الفصل ومشرف، مع الحفاظ على تواصل وثيق مع العائلات ودعم اندماج الطلاب في المدرسة.
  • قيادة التخطيط والتنفيذ لوحدات الاستقصاء في برنامج السنوات الابتدائية (IB PYP) مع ضمان منهج عابر للتخصصات يدمج التعلم المبكر عبر المواد الدراسية.
  • تقديم تعلم أساسي في تطوير اللغة والرياضيات المبكرة والعلوم الطبيعية والاجتماعية والفنون الإبداعية من خلال الاستقصاء القائم على اللعب.
  • التعاون مع معلمي المواد المتخصصة في اللغة العربية والإسبانية والدراسات الإسلامية.
  • إنشاء بيئة رعاية محفزة تدعم التطور الاجتماعي والعاطفي ومهارات القراءة والكتابة والحساب المبكرة.
  • تكييف التعليم لصف متعدد الأعمار في مرحلة الطفولة المبكرة ومجموعة طلابية متنوعة متعددة اللغات لضمان نجاح جميع المتعلمين.
  • المساهمة في تطوير المناهج المكيفة مع السياق المحلي مع تلبية معايير البكالوريا الدولية.

الشروط والمتطلبات

  • درجة البكالوريوس في تربية الطفولة المبكرة أو مجال ذي صلة.
  • طلاقة في اللغة الإنجليزية (إتقان لغات إضافية ميزة إضافية).
  • الاستعداد للانتقال والعيش في مجتمع دولي نامٍ.
  • قدرة مثبتة على التدريس عبر مواد متعددة ضمن إطار منهج متكامل.
  • يفضل وجود تدريب وخبرة في برنامج البكالوريا الدولية (IB PYP) وخبرة في تكييف التعليم لصفوف مختلطة الأعمار أو متعددة الأعمار.

Role Overview 

We are hiring a Pre-K Homeroom Teacher for a multigrade class of children aged 3–5 years. There is a shared application process for all homeroom positions in the school (Pre-K and Primary), as we aim to select the most outstanding IB PYP practitioners while balancing this with experience and skills suited to specific age groups. 

As a Pre-K Homeroom Teacher, you will: 

  • Act as class teacher and tutor, maintaining close communication with families and supporting students’ integration into the school. 
  • Lead planning and delivery of IB Primary Years Programme units of inquiry, ensuring a transdisciplinary approach that integrates early learning across subject areas.  
  • Deliver foundational learning in language development, early mathematics, natural and social sciences, and creative arts through play-based inquiry. 
  • Collaborate with specialist teachers for Arabic, Spanish, and Islamic Studies. 
  • Create a nurturing, stimulating environment that supports social-emotional development and early literacy and numeracy skills. 
  • Differentiate instruction for a multigrade early years class and a diverse, multilingual student population, ensuring all learners thrive. 
  • Contribute to curriculum development adapted to the local context while meeting IB standards.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

  • Proven ability to teach across multiple subject areas within an integrated curriculum framework. 

Desired 

  • IB PYP training and experience. 
  • Experience differentiating instruction for mixed-age or multigrade classes.
