Overview

The Cloud Platform Operations Manager leads cloud operations to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing environments across platforms like GCP and OCI, while driving efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement in collaboration with IT and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Lead cloud operations teams to ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and implement proactive measures to prevent incidents
• Oversee incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution processes
• Ensure cloud security, compliance, and governance standards are maintained
• Manage cloud cost optimization and resource utilization strategies
• Develop and enforce operational best practices, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and IT teams for deployment and scaling
• Implement automation tools and CI/CD pipelines for operational efficiency
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 7 years of experience in IT operations or cloud infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (GCP or OCI preferred)
• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and system architecture
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
