Primary Purpose:
Ensure that machinery, equipment, and systems are functioning reliably, efficiently, and safely through preventive and corrective maintenance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Plan and perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- .Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns and malfunctions promptly
- .Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and perform necessary repairs, which may include replacing parts
- .Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they lead to failure
- .Create and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and policies
- .Maintain accurate logs and records of all maintenance activities, faults, and repairs
- .Manage the stock of spare parts and maintenance supplies
- .Monitor and control maintenance costs and budgets
- .Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards
- .Perform quality checks on equipment to ensure proper function and safety
- .Coordinate with other departments, such as production, to schedule maintenance that minimizes operational disruption
- .Supervise junior staff, contractors, and technical teams when necessary
- .Managing budgets for maintenance activities and overseeing the inventory of spare parts and supplies
- .Supervising maintenance technicians and contractors, and coordinating with other departments to schedule work
- .Performs any work requested by the direct manager
