Job Description

To assist in conducting field surveys and setting out construction works, while verifying coordinates, levels, and measurements in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Assist in establishing survey control points, benchmarks, and reference points.

·        Carry out setting-out activities for buildings, roads, utilities, and infrastructure works.

·        Accurately measure and record coordinates, levels, distances, and angles.

·        Use surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS devices, and automatic levels.

·        Verify site dimensions and levels against approved drawings.

·        Collect and document field survey data.

·        Assist in preparing topographical surveys and as-built drawings.

·        Maintain surveying equipment and ensure that it is properly calibrated and in good working condition.

·        Report any discrepancies between approved drawings and actual site conditions.

·        Coordinate with engineers and construction teams regarding surveying requirements.

·        Comply with health and safety procedures while carrying out field activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

·        Diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

·        Fresh graduate or up to 5 years of relevant experience in surveying or construction projects.

·        Knowledge of total stations, GPS equipment, and levelling instruments.

·        Familiarity with AutoCAD and surveying software is preferred.

·        Ability to read engineering drawings.
