About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control (QC) Engineer specializing in industrial electric motors and motor rewinding operations to join our workshop team in Dammam. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality compliance across motor repair, rewinding, inspection, and testing processes while maintaining high standards of reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical and mechanical aspects of motors, hands-on workshop experience, and a strong understanding of quality systems and testing standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Control

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of industrial motors and motor rewinding activities.
• Ensure all repaired and rewound motors meet technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Verify quality of materials used in rewinding such as copper windings, insulation, bearings, and components.
• Inspect dismantling, cleaning, rewinding, assembly, and testing stages in the workshop.

Testing & Validation

• Conduct electrical and mechanical testing of motors including insulation resistance, winding resistance, surge test, vibration, and load testing.
• Ensure motors comply with operational performance standards before delivery to customers.
• Review test reports and certify final product quality.

Workshop Quality Management

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, procedures, and work instructions in the workshop.
• Identify defects, non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Support root cause analysis for recurring failures and implement long-term solutions.
• Monitor rework rates and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate QC records, inspection reports, and test documentation.
• Prepare quality reports and submit findings to workshop management.
• Ensure traceability of all repaired motors and components.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards for motor repair and rewinding.
• Support implementation of ISO quality systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
• Ensure safety and quality procedures are followed across all workshop activities.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with production, workshop technicians, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues.
• Work closely with customers for inspection approvals and technical clarifications when required.
• Support training of technicians on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in QC, workshop quality, or motor repair / motor rewinding industry.
• Hands-on experience in industrial motor inspection, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong background in workshop-based maintenance or service environments.
