Job Role:

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our project team. This role is ideal for professionals with a Civil Engineering or Architectural background who have hands-on experience in fit-out projects and are looking to transition into quality assurance and quality control functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project quality standards, monitoring compliance, and conducting inspections throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Planning & Strategy: Develop and implement quality assurance plans aligned with project specifications and client requirements.
• Site Inspections & Testing: Conduct regular site visits to inspect materials, workmanship, and construction methods; perform quality testing and sampling as per standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, quality checklists, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and maintain comprehensive quality records.
• Compliance Monitoring: Verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, building codes, and relevant standards (MOI, SPA, international codes).
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects; coordinate with contractors for corrective actions and re-inspection.
• Material Verification: Inspect incoming materials and equipment; verify certifications, test reports, and compliance with purchase orders.
• Coordination: Liaise between design team, contractors, and clients to resolve quality-related issues.
• Punch List Management: Manage project punch lists and ensure rectification of non-conformances prior to handover.
• Training & Awareness: Conduct quality awareness sessions with site teams and subcontractors.
• Photographic Documentation: Maintain photographic records of construction progress and quality issues.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field Minimum 5 years of professional experience in construction/fit-out projects with hands-on QA/QC responsibilities.
• Proven experience working on fit-out, MEP, or interior construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications, and building codes (Saudi Building Code, MOI standards preferred).
• Proficiency in quality inspection methodologies and testing procedures.
• Experience with quality management software and MS Office suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities in English and Arabic.
