تعلن مستشفيات الدكتور سليمان الحبيب عن فرصة وظيفية شاغرة في السعودية لوظيفة استشاري أمراض عصبية (Consultant Neurologist).

نبذة عن الوظيفة

استشاري الأمراض العصبية مسؤول بشكل كامل عن تقديم أعلى مستوى من الرعاية السريرية والخبرة في تقييم وفحص وتشخيص وعلاج المرضى في تخصص طب الأعصاب والحالات ذات الصلة. يجب أن يشارك الطبيب بنشاط في أنشطة تحسين الجودة المستمرة في القسم والمستشفى لتحقيق أهداف المجموعة الطبية (HMG).

المهام والمسؤوليات

  • إدارة العيادات المخصصة حسب الجدول المعتمد من المدير الطبي.
  • إدخال المرضى تحت الرعاية عند الحاجة ضمن حدود الصلاحيات المعتمدة.
  • المسؤولية عن التقييم الأولي والفحص وتحليل وتفسير النتائج السريرية ونتائج الاختبارات، والوصول إلى التشخيص، والعلاج، وإعادة التقييم ومتابعة المرضى للوصول إلى التشخيص النهائي.
  • وصف وإعطاء الأدوية والعلاج و/أو أي رعاية مناسبة أخرى لعلاج أو منع حدوث مضاعفات إضافية للمرض.
  • المسؤولية عن شرح الإجراءات ومناقشة نتائج التشخيص أو العلاجات الموصوفة مع المرضى و/أو مع المرافقين المصرح لهم.
  • مراقبة حالة المريض وتقدمه وإعادة التقييم والعلاج وفقًا لذلك.
  • تحويل المريض إلى استشاريين/أخصائيين آخرين عند الضرورة، وكذلك استشارة أو تقديم خدمات استشارية لأطباء آخرين كلما طُلب ذلك.
  • إجراء الجولات اليومية على المرضى المنومين تحت اسمه وأي مرضى محولين.
  • توثيق وضمان اكتمال جميع السجلات الطبية للمرضى وفقًا لسياسات المستشفى وتحديث تقدم المريض بشكل مناسب.
  • المصادقة على السجلات الطبية عند الإدخالات الأولية وملاحظات التقدم عن طريق تسجيل الدخول باسم المستخدم وكلمة المرور الخاصة به في سجلات المريض الصحية (Patient Health Records).
  • مراجعة والتحقق من إدخالات وملاحظات جميع الكوادر الطبية المبتدئة في حالة المرضى تحت رعايته.
  • إجراء الإجراءات التشخيصية و/أو العلاجية التي يُصرح بها للاستشاري.
  • الموافقة على ملخص الخروج المكتمل، وخطة المتابعة، والتقرير الطبي للمرضى.
  • تولي مهام رئيس القسم عند الحاجة من قبل الإدارة.
  • ضمان تنفيذ جميع السياسات والإجراءات والقواعد واللوائح والبروتوكولات والإرشادات والمسارات السريرية المعتمدة التي توجه وتدعم تقديم الخدمات السريرية.
  • توجيه وإشراف وتنسيق أنشطة الأخصائيين والمقيمين والممرضين والمعالجين والمساعدين وغيرهم من الكوادر الطبية المشاركة في رعاية المرضى.
  • تقديم المشورة والمساهمة في تطوير السياسات والإجراءات كجزء من برنامج تحسين الجودة المستمر في القسم.
  • العضوية في لجان القسم / المستشفى حسب الحاجة.
  • ضمان احترام القيم الإسلامية والأخلاقيات الطبية والالتزام بها بدقة.
  • المسؤولية عن المناوبات (On-Call) وفق سياسة المستشفى.
  • حضور حالات الطوارئ الزرقاء (Code Blue) كلما أمكن، والمشاركة في جميع رموز الطوارئ الأخرى في المستشفى.
  • تقديم التقارير الطبية والمعلومات للمرضى عند الطلب من رئيس القسم أو مدير المستشفى/ المدير الطبي.
  • تحديد وإبلاغ الإدارة بحالات الطب الشرعي (Medico-Legal Cases) في الوقت المناسب وفقًا لسياسة المستشفى.
  • المشاركة في تقديم الأنشطة السريرية / الأكاديمية في المستشفى.
  • القيام بدور نشط في تثقيف المريض وعائلته حول نمط الحياة الصحي، والمساهمة في التوعية والتعليم المجتمعي حول القضايا المتعلقة بالصحة.
  • الالتزام بالمواعيد والانتظام في المهام الموكلة حسب الجدول المقرر.
  • اتباع جميع سياسات وإجراءات المستشفى.
  • الحصول على الموافقة المستنيرة (informed consent) لجميع المرضى وفقًا لسياسة المستشفى قبل إجراء أي إجراء تشخيصي أو جراحة أو اختبار أو إجراء.
  • المشاركة في وقيادة مبادرات الرعاية المتمحورة حول الشخص (person-centered care) التي تنفذها المجموعة الطبية (HMG).
  • توفير التوجيه والتدريب بجانب السرير والإشراف للمتدربين من طلاب البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا (المتدربين والمقيمين والزملاء) حسب التكليف.
  • المشاركة في التعليم والتدريب والتطوير الذاتي والآخرين حسب الاقتضاء، وفي الأنشطة التعليمية للقسم وبرامجه التدريبية.
  • إثراء تجربة المريض بالتعاطف والاحترام والكرامة.
  • أداء المهام والواجبات الأخرى القابلة للتطبيق والتي تُسند إليه ضمن نطاق معرفته ومهاراته وقدراته.

الشروط والمتطلبات

  • تخرج من كلية طب معترف بها من قبل المجلس الطبي في بلد المنشأ.
  • إكمال برنامج التدريب (Internship) والإقامة (Residency) المناسبين.
  • مؤهلات دراسات عليا في التخصص.
  • خبرة لا تقل عن ثلاث (3) سنوات في الممارسة في التخصص بعد الحصول على الدرجة العليا في مستشفى رعاية ثالثية (Tertiary Care Hospital).
  • يفضل الحصول على درجة تخصص دقيق أو تدريب تخصصي منظم في التخصص الفرعي.
  • عضوية أو زمالة أو شهادة بورد (Board Certification) في التخصص المعني.
  • ترخيص مهني مناسب من بلد المنشأ، مقبول من الهيئة السعودية للتخصصات الصحية ووزارة الصحة.

Description

Job Purpose / Objective

Consultant Neurologist is fully responsible to provide highest standard of clinical care and expertise in assessment, investigation, diagnosis and treatment of patients in discipline of neurology and related conditions. Physician should actively be involved in continuous quality improvement activities of the department and the hospital to achieve the goals of HMG.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Manage the assigned clinics as per the approved rota by the Medical Director.
  • Admit the patients under care whenever indicated within the limits of the approved and assigned privileges.
  • Responsible for the initial assessment, investigation, analysis & interpretation of the clinical findings and test results, arriving at diagnosis, treatment, and re-assessment and follow- up of the patients to reach a final diagnosis.
  • Prescribe, administer medication, therapy, and/or other appropriate care to treat or prevent further complication of the disease.
  • Responsible for explaining procedures and discussing diagnostic results or prescribed treatments with the patients and/or with the authorized attendants.
  • Monitor the patient’s condition and progress and re-evaluate/ re-assessment and treat the patient accordingly.
  • Refer the patient to other consultants/specialists when necessary, also consult, or provide consulting services to, other physicians whenever requested.
  • Undertake daily rounds on Patients admitted under his/her name and any referred patients.
  • Document and ensure completeness of all medical records of the patients as per the policies of the hospital and update on the progress of the patient appropriately.
  • Authenticate the medical records at initial entries and progress notes by logging in with own username and password in Patient Health Records.
  • Review and validate the entries and notes of all junior medical staff in case of patients under his care.
  • Perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures for which the Consultant is privileged for.
  • Approve the completed discharge summary, follow-up plan, medical report of the patients.
  • Assume duties as the Head of the department as and when required by the management.
  • Ensure the implementation of all approved policies, procedures, rules, regulations, protocols, guidelines and clinical pathways that guide and support the provision of clinical services.
  • Direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of specialists, residents, nurses, therapists, assistants and other medical staff involved in patient care.
  • Advise and contribute to the development of policies and procedures as part of the continuous quality improvement program of the department.
  • Serve on Departmental / Hospital Committees as required.
  • Ensure that Islamic Values and Medical Ethics are respected and strictly observed.
  • Responsible to be On-Call as per hospital policy.
  • Attend the Code Blue, whenever applicable, and should be involved in all other emergency codes of the hospital.
  • Provide the Patient Medical reports and information as and when required by the Head of the department or Hospital Administrator/Medical Director of the Hospital.
  • Identify and bring all Medico-Legal Cases to the notice of the management on time in accordance with the hospital policy.
  • Participate in the provision of clinical / academic activities of the hospital.
  • Play an active role in the education of the patient and his/ her family on a healthy lifestyle. Contributes to awareness and education of the community, in general, on issues related to health.
  • Be regular and punctual in the duties assigned as per the schedule
  • Follow all hospital policies and procedures.
  • Obtain informed consent for all patients in accordance with hospital policy for the undertaking of any diagnostic procedure, operation, test or procedure.
  • Participate in, and lead person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
  • Provide orientation, bedside training and supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate trainees (interns, residents and fellows) as assigned.
  • Participate in self-and others’ education, training and development as applicable and department’s educational activities and training programs of the department.
  • Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity
  • Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.

Requirements

Education/ Professional Qualification

  • Graduate of Medical School, recognized by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
  • Completion of appropriate internship and residency programs
  • Post-graduate qualifications in the specialty.

Experience

  • At least three (3) years of practice in his / her specialty after obtaining the higher degree in a Tertiary Care Hospital.
  • Subspecialty degree or structured subspecialty training preferred.

Professional Licensing / Certification / Training

  • Membership, Fellowship and/or Board Certification in respective specialty.
  • Relevant licensure from the country of origin, acceptable to Saudi Commission for Health Specialty and Ministry of Health.
