Role Description This full-time, on-site Fire Protection Engineer role is based in Dammam. The Fire Protection Engineer will design, review, and validate fire protection systems for industrial and commercial facilities, ensuring compliance with local and international fire and life safety codes and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site assessments, performing hydraulic calculations and system layouts, preparing technical drawings and specifications, and coordinating with project managers, electrical engineers, and contractors to integrate fire systems into broader project plans. The role involves overseeing installation and testing activities, supporting commissioning, troubleshooting system performance issues, and preparing documentation such as reports, method statements, and maintenance guidelines. The Fire Protection Engineer will also participate in risk assessments, support safety audits, and provide technical guidance to clients and site teams on best practices for fire safety and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong expertise in Fire Protection Engineering and Fire Suppression Systems, including design, installation oversight, and commissioning of systems such as sprinklers, alarms, and special hazard protection.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge in Fire Safety and Life Safety, including familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NFPA, local civil defense requirements) and emergency egress and evacuation principles.
• Candidates should possess skills in Safety Engineering, including risk assessment, hazard analysis, and development of mitigation strategies to ensure safe, compliant operation of fire protection systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in fire protection or safety are an advantage.
• Experience in industrial or commercial projects, preferably in the GCC region, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Proficiency in relevant design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, hydraulic calculation tools) and strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients,
