Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Gastroenterologist role based in Jeddah. The Gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions for inpatient and outpatient populations. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical consultations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing endoscopic procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop evidence-based treatment plans. The role involves participating in capsule endoscopy and other advanced GI diagnostics, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols. The Gastroenterologist will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives, supervise and mentor junior medical staff as needed, and maintain accurate medical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine and Gastroenterology, with the ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders.
• Proficiency in Endoscopy and Capsule Endoscopy, including performing and interpreting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Clinical expertise in Hepatology, with experience managing acute and chronic liver diseases.
• Recognized medical degree and completion of residency and fellowship training in Gastroenterology (or equivalent board certification).
• Current valid medical license (or eligibility) to practice in Saudi Arabia, with strong knowledge of international clinical guidelines.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care, ethical practice, and continuous professional development.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Experience in teaching, clinical research, or participation in quality and safety initiatives is an advantage.
