We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Irrigation Engineer to join our team for our road project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in irrigation design and infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in irrigation systems for highways, urban developments, landscaping, parks, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic design, pressure networks, pumping systems, filtration units, and irrigation control systems.
- Experience with treated sewage effluent (TSE) networks, potable water systems, and sustainable irrigation practices.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, EPANET, or equivalent hydraulic modeling tools.
- Familiarity with international standards, local authority regulations, and water conservation requirements.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Previous Middle East and Saudi Arabia project experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and coordinate irrigation systems for highway, landscape, and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare hydraulic calculations, irrigation network layouts, water demand assessments, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Develop efficient irrigation solutions utilizing potable, recycled, and treated water sources in accordance with project requirements.
- Design and size pumping stations, storage tanks, control valves, filtration systems, and associated irrigation infrastructure.
- Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, material submittals, and procurement requirements for irrigation works.
- Coordinate with landscape, utility, road, civil, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
- Review contractor and consultant submissions related to irrigation systems and landscape infrastructure.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
- Ensure compliance with local authority requirements, international standards, sustainability objectives, and water conservation practices.
- Participate in value engineering studies and optimization initiatives to enhance system efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, presentations, and project documentation.
