تعلن شركة WSP في الشرق الأوسط عن توفر وظيفة كبير مهندسين مدنيين (Senior Civil Engineer) للانضمام إلى فريق الإشراف على الإنشاءات في الرياض، للمساهمة في تنفيذ مشاريع البنية التحتية للطرق والطرق السريعة في المملكة العربية السعودية.

المهام والمسؤوليات

  • الإشراف على أنشطة البناء المدني للطرق والطرق السريعة والتقاطعات وشبكات الصرف والمرافق والأعمال المرتبطة بها.
  • ضمان تنفيذ جميع أنشطة البناء وفقاً للرسومات المعتمدة والمواصفات الفنية ومتطلبات العقد والمعايير السارية.
  • مراجعة أساليب عمل المقاول وجداول البناء والرسومات التنفيذية وطرق التنفيذ ومستندات تسليم المواد.
  • مراقبة تقدم البناء وتحديد المخاطر أو التأخيرات أو المشكلات الفنية المحتملة.
  • التحقق من الأعمال المنجزة والتأكد من مطابقتها لمتطلبات الجودة قبل الاعتماد.
  • إجراء عمليات تفتيش ومراجعات دورية للموقع لضمان مستويات الجودة.
  • التنسيق مع فرق الجودة لمراجعة طلبات التفتيش وتقارير عدم المطابقة والإجراءات التصحيحية.
  • التواصل مع العميل والمقاول والجهات الرسمية وشركات المرافق وأصحاب المصلحة الآخرين.
  • دعم المهندس المقيم في المناقشات الفنية واجتماعات التنسيق.
  • إعداد التقارير الفنية وتحديثات التقدم وتعليمات الموقع والمراسلات.
  • المشاركة في اجتماعات التقدم وتقديم توصيات هندسية لدعم اتخاذ القرار.
  • تعزيز ثقافة السلامة وضمان الامتثال لمتطلبات الصحة والسلامة والبيئة.
  • مراقبة التزام المقاول بخطط الصحة والسلامة والبيئة المعتمدة.
  • الإبلاغ عن الظروف غير الآمنة ودعم تنفيذ الإجراءات التصحيحية.
  • مراجعة المطالبات وطلبات التغيير وطلبات تمديد الوقت من منظور فني.
  • المساعدة في تقييم قيم التقدم والأعمال المنجزة.
  • دعم المهندس المقيم في إدارة عقود البناء.
  • توجيه المهندسين المبتدئين والمفتشين وتقديم الإرشاد الفني.
  • تنسيق الأنشطة اليومية لطاقم الإشراف الميداني.
  • تعزيز التعاون ضمن فرق المشروع متعددة التخصصات.

الشروط والمتطلبات

  • خبرة مهنية لا تقل عن 15 عاماً في الهندسة المدنية.
  • خبرة لا تقل عن 10 سنوات في الإشراف على إنشاءات الطرق والطرق السريعة الرئيسية.
  • خبرة مثبتة في مشاريع البنية التحتية للنقل واسعة النطاق في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.
  • خبرة في الإشراف على إنشاء الطرق السريعة وأعمال الرصف والتقاطعات والجسور وشبكات الصرف والمرافق المرتبطة بها.
  • فهم قوي لعقود الفيديك (FIDIC) وعمليات إدارة البناء.
  • يفضّل خبرة سابقة في العمل مع استشاريين في مشاريع بنية تحتية تتعامل مع العملاء.

Job Description

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team in Riyadh, supporting the delivery of major Roads & Highways infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, contractual requirements, and health and safety regulations.

The role requires a highly capable engineering professional with extensive experience in the supervision of large-scale highway, roadway, interchange, bridge, and infrastructure projects. The candidate will work closely with the Resident Engineer, contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

Construction Supervision & Project Delivery

  • Supervise and monitor civil construction activities associated with roads, highways, interchanges, drainage systems, utilities, and related infrastructure works.
  • Ensure all construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Review contractor work methods, construction schedules, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
  • Monitor construction progress and identify potential risks, delays, or technical issues impacting project delivery.
  • Verify completed works and ensure compliance with project quality requirements before approval.


Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout construction.
  • Coordinate with quality teams to review inspection requests, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
  • Ensure testing and commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Review and verify contractor quality documentation and records.


Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with the Client, Contractor, Authorities, Utility Agencies, and other project stakeholders.
  • Support the Resident Engineer in technical discussions and coordination meetings.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress updates, site instructions, and project correspondence.
  • Participate in progress meetings and provide engineering recommendations to support decision-making.


Health, Safety & Environment

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
  • Monitor contractor adherence to approved health, safety, and environmental plans.
  • Report unsafe conditions and support implementation of corrective measures.
  • Ensure works are executed in accordance with local regulations and international best practices.


Contract Administration Support

  • Review contractor claims, variation requests, and extension of time submissions from a technical perspective.
  • Assist in evaluating progress valuations and completed works.
  • Support the Resident Engineer in the administration of construction contracts.


Team Leadership

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and inspectors.
  • Coordinate daily activities of site supervision staff.
  • Foster collaboration within multidisciplinary project teams.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision of major roads and highways projects.
  • Proven experience on large-scale transportation infrastructure projects within the Middle East region.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising highway construction, pavement works, interchanges, bridges, drainage systems, and associated utilities.
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and construction administration processes.
  • Previous experience working with consultants on client-facing infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
