Role Description The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in their homes, ensuring high-quality diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, prescribing and managing medications, coordinating chronic disease care, and collaborating with nursing and physiotherapy teams to deliver integrated home health services. The role involves educating patients and families on health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment plans, as well as documenting visits and maintaining accurate medical records in line with clinical and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jiddah, requiring regular travel to patient homes and close coordination with Al Farabi Med’s multidisciplinary care team.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical background in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a broad range of acute and chronic conditions in a home-care setting.
- Experience or training in Family Medicine, with a focus on holistic, patient-centered care across different age groups.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing staff, supporting safe procedures such as IV fluids administration, cannula insertion, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Commitment to ongoing Training and professional development, including staying current with evidence-based guidelines and home care best practices.
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), valid license to practice as a General Practitioner in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and relevant board certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients and families in diverse cultural contexts.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to manage mobile visits, prioritize cases, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Experience in home healthcare or community medicine is an advantage; proficiency in Arabic and English is beneficial.
