Soft Services Manager to join our team!
The Soft Services Manager oversees the daily non-technical operations, vendor contracts, and resident welfare programs within the workforce accommodation village. This role is responsible for ensuring a hygienic, safe, and high-quality living environment for thousands of residents. The manager will lead service mobilization, govern integrated facility management contractors, and maintain strict adherence to international and local worker welfare standards.
What You'll Be Doing
- Contract Governance & Vendor Performance
- SLA & KPI Management: Oversee integrated soft facilities management subcontractors, ensuring strict compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Service Line Oversight: Direct daily operations across all non-technical streams, including mass catering, large-scale housekeeping, laundry services, waste management, pest control, and landscaping.
- Financial Control: Manage the soft services operational budget, review vendor invoicing, and optimize resource allocation to prevent cost overruns.
- Operational Mobilization & Readiness
- Phased Handovers: Lead the operational readiness plans for new modules, blocks, or facilities within the village as the asset transitions from construction to occupancy.
- Scalability Planning: Coordinate logistics across multiple vendors to ensure catering, sanitation, and recreation facilities can seamlessly scale up or down based on resident population shifts.
- Worker Welfare, Health & Safety
- Welfare Compliance: Conduct rigorous, routine inspections of living quarters, food preparation areas, and common spaces to enforce strict compliance with local municipal laws and international worker welfare frameworks.
- Incident Management: Coordinate with the health, safety, and environment (HSE) team to manage medical clinic interfaces, emergency response drills, and sanitation controls.
- Community & Resident Relations
- Resident Experience: Establish clear feedback loops and grievance mechanisms for residents, resolving complaints, cleanliness, or amenities promptly.
- Community Spaces: Manage the upkeep and scheduling of facilities, spaces, prayer halls, and sports zones to foster a positive community environment.
- Security & Access Link: Partner with the security team to govern village access, crowd management, and resident safety protocols.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 3 years specifically managing large-scale workforce accommodations, remote camps, or high-density residential villages.
- Certifications in food safety (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) or professional facilities management credentials (e.g., BIFM/IWFM) are highly desirable.
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills, strong contractor management capabilities, and experience working within highly multicultural environments.
