Job Title: Asphalt Batch Plant Quality Control Inspector

Department/Section: Asphalt Production

Location: Qiddiya

Direct Manager: Asphalt QC Engineer

Joining Availability : Immediately

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all asphalt produced, supplied, and laid complies with approved mix designs, project specifications, and applicable standards through systematic sampling by coordinating with Lab team, and inspection of raw materials, plant production, and field paving operations. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate quality records, monitoring compliance, and providing timely feedback to the production team, paving team, and immediate supervisor to facilitate prompt corrective actions and ensure consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor asphalt production quality, including mix temperature, proportion verification, truck inspection, and report deviations promptly.
2. Supervise stockpile management to prevent segregation, contamination, and verify incoming materials against approved sources.
3. Verify plant calibration, batching accuracy, and implementation of the approved Job Mix Formula (JMF) before production.
4. Inspect asphalt paving operations, including delivery temperature, surface preparation, tack coat application, paving, compaction, joints, thickness, and surface finish.
5. Visit project sites and external supply locations to verify product quality, resolve quality concerns, and obtain client feedback.
6. Report non-conformities promptly to the production and paving teams, and escalate critical issues to the immediate supervisor.
7. Maintain quality records, including test reports, inspection checklists, temperature logs, calibration records, ITP sign-offs, and NCRs.
8. Comply with HSE requirements and perform all inspection and testing activities safely.

Qualifications & Skills:

1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in asphalt plant and road construction quality control
3. Working knowledge of plant operations, and laying/compaction practices
4. Familiarity with AASHTO, ASTM, and applicable project specifications
5. Reporting and documentation skills/ Communication and coordination skills & Computer skills
6. Analytical and problem-solving skills
