We’re hiring a Regional Sales Manager to lead FMCG / consumer goods sales growth across Madinah. This is a hands-on regional sales leadership role focused on sales strategy, route-to-market execution, distributor management, channel management, sales target achievement, revenue growth, profitability, and building a high-performing field sales team.
Key responsibilities (Sales / FMCG / Consumer Goods)
- Drive regional sales growth, revenue, volume, and profitability across Madinah (FMCG / consumer goods)
- Build and execute regional sales strategy, sales plans, and go-to-market (GTM) plans with the Regional Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
- Manage the distribution network: distributor management, wholesaler management, retail coverage, route-to-market optimization, and sales execution
- Own channel management and channel performance across key FMCG channels (general trade, modern trade, wholesale, key accounts)
- Lead sales team performance: sales supervisors, sales executives, field sales; coaching, training, target setting, and performance management
- Deliver sales targets, sales KPIs, productivity KPIs, coverage KPIs, and merchandising execution standards
- Lead customer management and relationship management: negotiate commercial terms, improve sell-in / sell-out, and protect pricing and margins
- Monitor competitor activity in FMCG / consumer goods: competitor pricing, competitor promotions, competitor stock levels, market share movements
- Run daily / weekly / monthly sales meetings, pipeline reviews, target vs achievement reviews, and action plans to close gaps
- Work cross-functionally with Trade Marketing, Logistics, Finance, Sales Excellence, and HR to drive sales execution, availability, and service levels
- Review and analyze sales reports and dashboards; ensure strong reporting cadence (weekly reports, monthly reports, performance reports)
- Use sales analytics and forecasting: demand forecasting, regression, cannibalization analysis, and territory performance analysis
- Deploy annual and monthly sales targets; ensure the team understands target calculation and sales incentive calculation
- Build succession and capability: coach supervisors and executives, develop future leaders, and improve engagement and retention
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Regional or Area Sales Manager (any channel MT /TT /GT /FS /WH /HORECA ); strong FMCG / consumer goods sales experience preferred
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and account management capability
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical capability (forecasting, regression, cannibalization) with advanced Excel / Microsoft Office
- Strong reporting discipline (weekly/monthly reporting, KPI tracking, sales performance reporting)
- Familiar with ERP systems
- Arabic speaker with good English
- Ability to perform under pressure in a target-driven sales environment
