المهام والمسؤوليات
- العمل كسلطة فنية / خبير متخصص في دراسات أنظمة الطاقة HV و EHV عبر المشاريع الصناعية والطاقة الكبرى.
- قيادة وضمان الجودة الفنية لدراسات العبور الكهرومغناطيسي باستخدام PSCAD، وخاصة تحليل العبور العابر وتنسيق العزل.
- إجراء ومراجعة الدراسات للأنظمة الكهربائية التي تعمل بجهد 69 كيلوفولت فأعلى، بما في ذلك محطات التحويل HV/EHV والشبكات المرتبطة بها.
- تطوير والتحقق من نماذج PSCAD للشبكات الكهربائية المعقدة والمعدات وسيناريوهات التشغيل.
- إجراء ومراجعة دراسات تنسيق العزل بما في ذلك تقييم الفولتية العابرة والمؤقتة ومتطلبات عزل المعدات.
- قيادة ومراجعة دراسات ETAP لأنظمة الطاقة بما في ذلك تدفق الأحمال وقصر الدائرة وبدء تشغيل المحركات وتنسيق المرحلات/الحماية وتحليل القوس الكهربائي.
- مراجعة فلسفات النظام الكهربائي ومعايير التصميم والمواصفات الفنية وتقارير الدراسات ومخرجات الهندسة.
- تقديم ضمان فني مستقل وحل مشكلات هندسة أنظمة الطاقة المعقدة خلال مراحل المفهوم ودراسات الجدوى والتصميم التفصيلي وتنفيذ المشروع.
- دعم المراجعات الفنية ومراجعات التصميم وورش العمل مع العميل والأنشطة الهندسية متعددة التخصصات.
- تقديم مدخلات فنية متخصصة للمقترحات والعطاءات وأنشطة تطوير الأعمال.
- توجيه وتطوير مهندسي الكهرباء وأنظمة الطاقة وتعزيز معايير وأفضل الممارسات الهندسية.
- البقاء على اطلاع دائم بالتطورات في نمذجة أنظمة الطاقة وتقنيات HV/EHV والتكامل مع الشبكات والمعايير الدولية المعمول بها.
الشروط والمتطلبات
- درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة الكهربائية أو تخصص ذي صلة.
- ما لا يقل عن 20 عاماً من الخبرة ذات الصلة في هندسة أنظمة الطاقة، ويفضل في مشاريع الطاقة والنفط والغاز والبتروكيماويات والتعدين والصناعات التحويلية أو مشاريع البنية التحتية الكبرى.
- خبرة مثبتة على مستوى الخبراء في استخدام PSCAD لدراسات العبور الكهرومغناطيسي.
- خبرة واسعة في دراسات العبور العابر وتنسيق العزل للأنظمة HV/EHV بجهد 69 كيلوفولت فأعلى.
- خبرة عملية قوية مع ETAP في تدفق الأحمال وقصر الدائرة وبدء تشغيل المحركات وتنسيق المرحلات/الحماية وتحليل القوس الكهربائي.
- فهم عميق لمحطات التحويل HV/EHV والمحولات والمفاتيح الكهربائية وأنظمة النقل والتوزيع والشبكات الكهربائية الصناعية.
- معرفة قوية بالمعايير الدولية IEC و IEEE وغيرها من المعايير الكهربائية ذات الصلة.
- خبرة مثبتة في تقديم الضمان الفني ومراجعة التصميم المستقلة وحل مشكلات هندسة أنظمة الطاقة المعقدة.
- خبرة سابقة على مستوى المدير أو الخبير المتخصص أو السلطة الفنية أو الزميل الفني أو ما يعادلها من المستويات العليا التخصصية تفضل بقوة.

Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Power Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) - PSCAD / HV & EHV Studies to serve as a Technical Authority across our portfolio of energy, oil & gas, mining, industrial and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will provide specialist technical leadership for complex High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) power system studies, with particular expertise in PSCAD-based switching transient and insulation coordination studies for systems operating at 69 kV and above.
The SME will act as a senior technical authority throughout the project lifecycle, supporting concept studies, FEED, detailed engineering, EPC/PMC execution, technical assurance and commissioning. In addition to advanced PSCAD studies, the role requires strong capability in ETAP-based power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, relay/protection coordination and arc-flash studies.

Responsibilities
- Act as the Technical Authority / SME for HV and EHV power system studies across major industrial and energy projects.
- Lead and technically assure PSCAD electromagnetic transient studies, particularly switching transient analysis and insulation coordination.
- Perform and review studies for electrical systems operating at 69 kV and above, including HV/EHV substations and associated power networks.
- Develop and validate PSCAD models for complex electrical networks, equipment and switching scenarios.
- Perform and technically review insulation coordination studies, including evaluation of transient and temporary overvoltages and equipment insulation requirements.
- Lead and review ETAP power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, motor starting, relay/protection coordination and arc-flash analysis.
- Review electrical system philosophies, design criteria, technical specifications, study reports and engineering deliverables.
- Provide independent technical assurance and resolve complex power-system engineering issues throughout Concept, FEED, detailed design and project execution.
- Support technical reviews, design reviews, client workshops and interdisciplinary engineering activities.
- Provide specialist technical input to proposals, tenders and business-development activities.
- Mentor and develop electrical and power-system engineers and promote consistent engineering standards and best practices.
- Maintain awareness of developments in power-system modelling, HV/EHV technology, grid integration and applicable international standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum 20 years of relevant power systems engineering experience, preferably within energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, mining, industrial or major infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrable expert-level experience using PSCAD for electromagnetic transient studies.
- Extensive experience in switching transient and insulation coordination studies for 69 kV and above HV/EHV systems.
- Strong practical experience with ETAP for load flow, short circuit, motor starting, relay/protection coordination and arc-flash studies.
- Strong understanding of HV/EHV substations, transformers, switchgear, transmission/distribution systems and industrial electrical networks.
- Strong knowledge of applicable IEC, IEEE and other relevant international electrical standards.
- Demonstrated experience providing technical assurance, independent design review and resolution of complex power-system engineering issues.
- Previous experience operating at Principal, SME, Technical Authority, Technical Fellow or equivalent senior specialist level is strongly preferred.
- Experience with major projects in Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC, particularly Saudi Aramco or other major industrial clients, would be advantageous.
- Strong client-facing, communication, mentoring and technical-leadership skills.
