About The Opportunity

The Stage Gate Assurance & Monitoring Senior Manager supports the Asset Management Governance & Assurance Director by coordinating asset management assurance across stage gate reviews, design reviews, and handover readiness activities. The role ensures AM requirements are consistently reviewed, evidenced, tracked, and integrated into project delivery, operational readiness, handover, and lifecycle planning in alignment with the ISO 55001 asset management framework.

Role Responsibilities

• Coordinate Asset Management (AM) assurance activities across Stage Gate reviews, ensuring requirements, trigger points, and evidence are assessed at the appropriate project stages.
• Monitor AM requirements related to operational readiness, operator strategies, budgets, delivery plans, asset requirements, and handover preparedness.
• Prepare assurance reports highlighting review status, risks, conditions, evidence gaps, and recommended decision outcomes.
• Support evidence-based go, conditional go, or no-go recommendations and ensure decisions are accurately recorded.
• Facilitate and coordinate design reviews involving City AM, City Operations, O&M teams, delivery teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Ensure design reviews address operability, maintainability, lifecycle impacts, Opex considerations, service levels, and handover requirements.
• Track, monitor, and resolve review comments, actions, risks, and outstanding issues, escalating where necessary.
• Consolidate review findings, risks, conditions, and unresolved matters to support Stage Gate decision-making.
• Maintain AM platform records, action tracking, and assurance documentation to support governance and compliance requirements.
• Provide reporting and monitoring to ensure Stage Gate outcomes are implemented and reflected in project, readiness, handover, and lifecycle plans.
  
  
  

Here's what you'll need

Role Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Asset Management, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Facilities Management, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are preferred.
• 14+ years of experience in asset management, governance, assurance, project controls, design review coordination, handover readiness, or infrastructure delivery.
• Knowledge of Stage Gate processes, governance reporting, evidence management, action tracking, risk escalation, and decision support.
• Experience coordinating with City Operations, O&M teams, delivery teams, consultants, and asset management stakeholders.
• Understanding of ISO 55001 asset management principles, including lifecycle management, value optimization, risk management, and continual improvement.
• Proficiency in AM platforms, dashboards, exception reporting, operational readiness, handover requirements, maintainability, and lifecycle planning.
