Job Summary:

The lead barista has proven ability to provide quality customer service and demonstrated knowledge of Specialty coffee products, equipment . The lead barista has responsibility for serving all products with high quality, friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. He/she is also responsible for making a difference to our customers by educating them about our premium Specialty coffees and sweets . They also provide technical guidance to new team members and assist in the training program. With the ability and experience to create new beverages

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assume responsibility for all aspects of the coffee production.

- Be capable of completing and overseeing all daily operations of the coffee bars.

- Management of baristas: customer service, preparation and presentation of beverages and information, operational procedures, merchandising.

- Management of back of house operations: payroll, scheduling, ordering, and sales and profitability contribute ideas as far as operational flow.

- Be “on-call” with the responsibility to respond to problems or fill-in when needed..

- Cultivate a professional, friendly, efficient work environment .

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE



- Excellent communication and teaching skills Infectious love of coffee..

- Proactive approach to problem-solving and staff management.

- Adaptability and the ability to creatively troubleshoot difficult situations.

- Superior leadership capabilities; ability to work well within groups.

- At least 3 years of experience in specialty coffee and the coffee industry.

- Focused perspective on what a high-functioning coffee bar looks like and how to execute that perspective.

- Be a model barista, both as far as bar skills, customer service and enthusiasm to share knowledge.

- Previous management experience.
