Role Description This full-time on-site role as a Laboratory Specialist at Balsam Medical Care is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Laboratory Specialist is responsible for performing routine and specialized laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards. Daily tasks include preparing specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, monitoring test performance, and accurately documenting and reporting results to clinical teams. The role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support diagnostic decisions, participating in internal quality assurance activities, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment. The Laboratory Specialist is expected to follow infection control and safety procedures, adhere to turnaround times, and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills and demonstrate proficiency in standard laboratory procedures and techniques.
• Candidates should possess experience with laboratory equipment, including operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
• Candidates should possess analytical skills for interpreting test results, identifying discrepancies, and supporting accurate clinical decision-making.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of quality control practices and laboratory medicine principles to ensure reliable and compliant testing.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field; professional certification or licensure in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, use laboratory information systems, and communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in hospital or clinical laboratory settings and familiarity with regional regulatory standards are advantageous.
