Role Description The Computer & Network Engineering role is a full-time hybrid position based in Jeddah, with some flexibility for remote work. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, configuring, and maintaining computer networks, servers, and related infrastructure to support academic and administrative operations. The role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures, and ensuring reliable connectivity across campus facilities. The engineer collaborates with IT teams, faculty, and other stakeholders to plan upgrades, deploy new systems, and support teaching and research activities that depend on robust computing resources. Documentation of system configurations, adherence to institutional policies, and participation in continuous improvement initiatives are also part of the daily work.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in computer and network engineering, including network design, routing, switching, and basic systems administration.
• Experience with network security practices, firewalls, VPNs, and access control to help safeguard institutional data and infrastructure.
• Hands-on skills in configuring and supporting servers, operating systems, and common enterprise IT tools used in academic environments.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, with clear documentation and follow-up.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
