Overview

A Candidate with strong hands-on experience in functional testing, API testing, database validation, integration testing, regression testing, and defect management, with good exposure to test automation and Agile/DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria and identify testing risks and gaps.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory, and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
• Validate backend and database data using SQL queries.
• Test web applications, integrations, services, and business workflows.
• Report and track defects with clear reproduction steps, evidence, severity, and business impact.
• Maintain test cases, test evidence, regression suites, and requirement traceability.
• Participate in Agile activities including refinement, sprint planning, daily meetings, and retrospectives.
• Support release validation and provide clear visibility of testing risks and blockers.
• Contribute to test automation using tools such as Playwright, Robot, Cypress, Appium, or similar.
• Support continuous testing and automated execution within CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, DevOps, and other stakeholders to improve overall product quality.

Required Skills:

• 2-4 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Hands-on experience in:

-Functional & Regression Testing

-API Testing

-Integration Testing

-SQL / Database Testing

-Defect Management

-Web Application Testing

-Test Case Design & Execution

• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or similar tools.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
• Basic to intermediate experience with test automation.
• Basic knowledge of Git, CI/CD, and DevOps concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred:

• ISTQB Foundation Level certification.
• Experience with Playwright, Robot, Cypress, or similar Testing Automation tool.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or another scripting language.
• Exposure to performance testing using JMeter or k6.
• Basic understanding of security testing and OWASP principles.
• Experience with government, enterprise, or highly integrated digital platforms is a plus.
