About the Opportunity

Alfanar Engineering Services is seeking experienced and highly motivated Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Engineers to join our team in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). If you have extensive experience in HV/EHV Substation Testing & Commissioning and are looking to advance your career with a leading engineering organization, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of HV/EHV substations ranging from 13.8kV to 380kV.
• Execute pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for:
• Power Transformers
• GIS/AIS Switchgear
• Circuit Breakers
• Disconnectors & Earthing Switches
• Current Transformers (CTs)
• Voltage Transformers (VTs/CVTs)
• Protection & Control Panels
• SCADA & Communication Systems
• Carry out protection relay testing, configuration, and validation.
• Perform primary and secondary injection testing.
• Conduct transformer testing, including:
• Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR)
• Winding Resistance
• Insulation Resistance
• Functional Tests
• Verify control logic, protection schemes, and interlocks.
• Support system energization and synchronization activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment and system issues during commissioning.
• Prepare commissioning procedures, test reports, and punch lists.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and final commissioning reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech.).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Testing & Commissioning of HV/EHV substations.
• Strong knowledge of protection relays, control systems, SCADA, and communication networks.
• Hands-on experience with GIS/AIS substations and transformer testing.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and protection logic diagrams.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work across project locations within Saudi Arabia.
