Role Description The Senior Procurement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh, responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for engineering and construction-related materials, equipment, and services. This role involves sourcing and evaluating suppliers, preparing and reviewing requests for quotation (RFQs), negotiating commercial and technical terms, and issuing accurate and timely purchase orders. The Senior Procurement Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, projects, finance, and logistics teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications, budget requirements, and project schedules. Daily responsibilities include market analysis, cost and value comparison, maintaining supplier databases and performance records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. The role also supports process improvement initiatives, contributes to procurement strategies, and provides guidance to junior team members to enhance overall procurement effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in supplier evaluation and RFQ preparation to identify reliable vendors and obtain competitive proposals.
• Candidates should possess expertise in managing purchase orders, including drafting, reviewing, and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
• Candidates should possess solid analytical skills to assess pricing, quality, delivery performance, and total cost of ownership in procurement decisions.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders, negotiate with suppliers, and document procurement activities clearly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is an advantage.
• Proven experience in procurement within construction, MEP, or industrial projects, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract terms, and relevant standards, with proficiency in ERP or procurement management systems.
