تعلن شركة Purple Rock IT Solutions عن توفر وظيفة مهندس شبكات مستقل (Freelance IT Network Engineer) متخصص في تقنيات Fortinet وUniFi، للعمل على مشاريع الفعاليات وعملاء مزودي الخدمات المدارة (MSP) في جدة، المملكة العربية السعودية.
المهام والمسؤوليات
- تكوين وصيانة البنية التحتية للشبكات (LAN, WAN, لاسلكي) بما يشمل المبدلات والموجهات وجدران الحماية ونقاط الوصول.
- إدارة بيئات التوجيه والتبديل وجدران الحماية والشبكات الخاصة الافتراضية (VPN) واللاسلكية في مواقع عملاء MSP.
- تنفيذ ترقيات البرامج الثابتة والتحديثات الأمنية والصيانة الوقائية وتحسين الأداء.
- نشر وإدارة الشبكات السلكية واللاسلكية للفعاليات الكبيرة (500-20,000+ مستخدم) مثل المعارض والمؤتمرات والفعاليات الرياضية.
- تكوين نشرات لاسلكية عالية الكثافة باستخدام UniFi أو ما يعادلها مع تجزئة VLAN وعزل الضيوف.
- إعداد وصلات خلوية مجمعة وروابط SD-WAN باستخدام Peplink أو ما يعادلها لضمان الاتصال وتجاوز الأعطال.
- مراقبة استخدام النطاق الترددي وأداء الشبكة أثناء الفعاليات الحية.
- تقديم الدعم الميداني أثناء مراحل التجهيز والتشغيل والفك، بما في ذلك فترات المساء وعطلات نهاية الأسبوع والعطلات الرسمية.
- تشخيص وحل مشكلات الاتصال والأداء والأمن لدى عملاء MSP، مع تحليل الأسباب الجذرية وتنفيذ الإجراءات التصحيحية.
- المشاركة في مشاريع تنفيذ الشبكات والترحيل والتوسعة وترقية البنية التحتية.
- إجراء مسوحات المواقع وخرائط التغطية اللاسلكية باستخدام Ekahau أو ما يعادله.
- إنشاء وصيانة مخططات الشبكة باستخدام Microsoft Visio، وتوثيق الإعدادات والعناوين والمخططات وإجراءات التشغيل القياسية.
الشروط والمتطلبات
- خبرة عملية من 2 إلى 4 سنوات في نشر ودعم الشبكات.
- دبلوم أو بكالوريوس في تقنية المعلومات أو الشبكات أو علوم الحاسب أو مجال ذي صلة.
- الإقامة حالياً في المملكة العربية السعودية بتأشيرة إقامة أو عمل سارية المفعول (لن يتم النظر في المرشحين من خارج المملكة).
- خبرة عملية في تكوين ونشر جدران الحماية Fortinet FortiGate (VPN، سياسات الجدار، NAT، SD-WAN) مع ذكر الموديلات التي تم التعامل معها.
- خبرة عملية في نشر وإدارة شبكات Ubiquiti UniFi اللاسلكية بما يشمل وحدات التحكم ونقاط الوصول والمبدلات، مع ذكر أكبر نشر تم.
- خبرة مثبتة وقابلة للتوثيق في نشر الشبكات المؤقتة للفعاليات (مطلوب تعبئة حقل الطلب في نموذج التقديم).
- فهم قوي لبروتوكول TCP/IP وتقسيم الشبكات (subnetting) والتوجيه والتبديل و VLANs و STP و DHCP و DNS و NAT و VPN.
- قدرة مثبتة على العمل بشكل مستقل تحت الضغط وبأقل إشراف.
- استعداد حقيقي للعمل في فترات المساء وعطلات نهاية الأسبوع والعطلات الرسمية لأعمال الفعاليات والمشاريع.

المهارات المطلوبة
- إجادة التعامل مع جدران الحماية FortiGate (سياسات، VPN، NAT، SD-WAN).

Our projects range from corporate offices and managed IT environments to international events, exhibitions, sporting venues, and temporary network deployments.
We are looking for a hands-on Network Engineer who is equally comfortable on a project site at 11pm during an event build-up as they are configuring a FortiGate firewall for an MSP client the next morning. This is a field-heavy, deployment-focused role and is not suitable for candidates seeking purely desk-based, NOC-only, or remote positions.
You will work across two environments:

Candidates without the following will not be progressed:
- You must currently be based in the KSA on a valid residence or employment visa. Candidates based outside the KSA will not be considered

- MSP clients - ongoing support, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting for a portfolio of corporate clients across KSA
- Event & project deployments - design, deploy, operate, and decommission temporary network infrastructure for exhibitions, conferences, sporting events, and activations, often under tight timelines and high-pressure conditions
Mandatory technical requirements
Candidates without the following will not be progressed:
- Hands-on experience configuring and deploying Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (VPN, firewall policies, NAT, SD-WAN). Please specify which models you have worked with
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing Ubiquiti UniFi wireless networks, including UniFi controllers, APs, and switching. Please specify your largest deployment
- Confirmed, documentable event or temporary network deployment experience - see application form requirement below
- Currently based in the KSA on a valid visa with the right to work
- Configure, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and related network services
- Manage routing, switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless environments across MSP client sites
- Perform firmware upgrades, security updates, preventive maintenance, and optimisation activities
- Deploy and manage enterprise wireless and wired networks for large-scale events (500-20,000+ users), including exhibitions, sporting events, conferences, and activations
- Configure high-density UniFi or equivalent wireless deployments with proper VLAN segmentation and guest isolation
- Set up bonded cellular and SD-WAN uplinks using Peplink or equivalent for event connectivity and failover
- Monitor bandwidth utilisation and network performance during live events
- Provide on-site support during build-up, live operations, and de-rig - including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Troubleshoot network issues calmly and effectively under time-critical, high-visibility conditions
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues for MSP clients
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent corrective actions
- Support MSP clients through remote and on-site troubleshooting
- Participate in escalation support for critical incidents and service outages
- Support network implementation, migration, expansion, and infrastructure upgrade projects
- Participate in site surveys, wireless heatmap surveys (Ekahau or equivalent), and solution deployment
- Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and vendors
- Create and maintain network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
- Document configurations, IP schemes, topology diagrams, and SOPs
- Prepare technical reports and change records
- 2-4 years of experience in network deployment and support
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Networking, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, switching, VLANs, STP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and VPN
- Proven ability to work independently under pressure with minimal supervision
- Genuine willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays for event and project work
- Valid KSA residence or employment visa - no relocation or visa sponsorship for overseas candidates
- Fortinet NSE / FCP certification
- Experience with Cisco/Meraki, Aruba, Peplink, Sophos, or Ruijie solutions
- Wireless heatmap survey experience using Ekahau or NetSpot
- Experience in MSP environments managing multiple clients simultaneously
- Event network deployment experience at scale (500+ users)
- CCNA/CCNP, Ubiquiti UEWA, or Peplink certifications are an advantage
- Exposure to high-profile events and infrastructure projects across the KSA
- Training and certification sponsorship (Fortinet NSE, Ubiquiti, Peplink, Ekahau)
