Job Summary:

The Head of Cybersecurity will lead the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operations. This role is responsible for safeguarding digital assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and building a resilient cyber defense framework. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of proven experience in cybersecurity, with a strong background in telecommunications, IT infrastructure, and software development industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute the enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Provide strategic direction for risk management, cyber resilience, and data protection initiatives.
• Cyber Defense & Operations
• Oversee the Security Operations Center (SOC), including incident detection, response, and recovery.
• Implement advanced monitoring, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management practices.
• Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
• Direct the GRC function, ensuring compliance with international standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and local telecom regulations).
• Establish and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Technology & Architecture
• Review and enhance security architecture across IT, telecom networks, and software applications.
• Collaborate with software development teams to embed security into DevOps (DevSecOps).
• Team & Stakeholder Management
• Lead and manage specialized cybersecurity teams, including:
• Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
• Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering
• Incident Response & Threat Intelligence
• Mentor, coach, and build capabilities within the cybersecurity organization.
• Partner with executive leadership, IT, and regulatory bodies to ensure cyber readiness.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with exposure to telecom, IT, and software development sectors.
• Proven track record in:
• Security governance & compliance.
• Cloud security, network security, and application security.
• Leading large-scale incident response and cyber risk assessments.
• Strong knowledge of frameworks and standards: ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, CCSP or equivalent.
