WE ARE HIRING | CUSTOMS CLEARANCE OFFICER

Location: Saudi Arabia, Al Khobar

Department: Logistics / Supply Chain

Employment Type: Full-Time

Status: Candidate must be currently residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Clearance Officer to join our Logistics & Supply Chain team in Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customs clearance process, ensuring shipments are cleared efficiently, accurately, and in full compliance with Saudi customs and regulatory requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Manage customs clearance for air, sea, and land shipments from arrival through final release.

·      Prepare, review, and submit customs declarations and clearance documentation.

·      Coordinate with ZATCA, customs authorities, ports, airports, customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and government authorities.

·      Review and verify HS Codes, product descriptions, quantities, values, weights, and country of origin.

·      Calculate and verify applicable customs duties, VAT, and other government charges.

·      Handle SABER/SASO certifications, exemptions, permits, and regulatory approvals where required.

·      Follow up on customs inspections, shipment holds, document discrepancies, and clearance issues.

·      Monitor shipments and ensure timely customs release to avoid demurrage, detention, and storage charges.

·      Review commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Certificates of

·      Origin, MSDS, and other required documents.

·      Coordinate with suppliers, customers, brokers, and internal departments to obtain missing or corrected documentation.

·      Maintain accurate records of customs declarations, permits, certificates, invoices, and clearance documents.

·      Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Warehouse, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

·      Prepare regular reports regarding shipment status, customs clearance, costs, and pending shipments.

·      Ensure all customs activities comply with Saudi Arabian regulations and company policies

REQUIREMENTS

·      Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.

·      2-5 years of relevant experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, logistics, or import/export operations.

·      Strong knowledge of Saudi customs clearance procedures and import regulations.

·      Hands-on experience with FASAH, ZATCA, SABER/SASO, and other relevant platforms.

·      Good knowledge of HS Code classification, customs duties, VAT, and customs valuation.

·      Understanding of Incoterms and international shipping documentation.

·      Experience dealing with customs brokers, ports, airports, shipping lines, and freight forwarders.

·      Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

ERP/logistics system experience is an advantage.

·      Good command of English; Arabic language skills will be an advantage.

·      Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.

·      Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
