Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Laboratory Technician role based in the Riyadh Region. The Laboratory Technician is responsible for receiving, labeling, and processing patient samples in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Daily tasks include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, performing routine and specialized tests, recording and analyzing results, and ensuring accurate documentation in laboratory information systems. The role involves supporting quality control procedures, identifying and reporting any irregularities or equipment issues, and maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment. The Laboratory Technician collaborates with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to provide timely, reliable laboratory data that supports diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in core laboratory skills, including specimen collection, preparation, and handling in a clinical setting.
- Experience working with laboratory equipment, including operation, calibration, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret test results, identify discrepancies, and support accurate clinical decision-making.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards to ensure reliability, consistency, and regulatory compliance in laboratory testing.
- Previous experience in a Laboratory Technician role or equivalent training in a medical laboratory environment.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory, or a related field; relevant certification or licensure where applicable.
- Understanding of infection control, biosafety, and safe handling of biological specimens and chemicals.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures accurately.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in the Riyadh Region and adapt to shift-based or extended hours as required by laboratory operations.
