• Inspect railway track construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Conduct inspections of rails, sleepers, fastenings, ballast, switches & crossings, track geometry, and related track components.
• Verify track alignment, level, gauge, cant, cross-level, and other track geometry parameters.
• Inspect track laying, tamping, leveling, lining, ballast distribution, and compaction activities.
• Identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities and report them to the relevant project team.
• Review inspection requests and verify completed works before approval.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, construction, engineering, and survey teams during track installation activities.
• Monitor the quality of materials and workmanship used in track construction.
• Review relevant method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, checklists, punch lists, and other required documentation.
• Follow up on corrective actions and ensure identified defects are properly rectified.
• Support testing and commissioning activities related to railway track works.
• Ensure compliance with railway safety requirements and project HSE procedures.
• Maintain accurate inspection and quality records.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives as required.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in railway track construction, inspection, maintenance, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of railway track construction and inspection procedures.
• Good understanding of track geometry, alignment, leveling, gauge, cant, rails, sleepers, fastenings, ballast, and switches & crossings.
• Experience with railway inspection and quality control procedures.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Knowledge of QA/QC documentation, ITPs, inspection requests, and NCR procedures.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify construction defects.
• Ability to work on-site and in different project conditions.
