Job Brief:

The Quantity Surveyor will be based on the project and responsible for day-to-day cost management activities, including quantity take-offs, measurement, valuation, and cost reporting for the high-rise towers works. This role supports the project's commercial function, ensuring accurate and timely cost data at the site level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and measurements from drawings and BOQs for high-rise/tower construction works (substructure, superstructure, MEP, finishes)
• Prepare interim payment applications/certifications for contractors and subcontractors based on measured work in place
• Assist in preparing and reviewing BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation
• Track and process variation orders, ensuring proper documentation and substantiation
• Monitor site progress against measured quantities and feed into project progress reporting
• Maintain cost records, registers, and databases for the project (materials, labor, subcontractor accounts)
• Assist with subcontractor account reconciliation and final account preparation
• Liaise with site engineers, planning, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and timely cost information
• Support the QS Manager in monthly cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and budget tracking
• Ensure compliance with contract terms (FIDIC or equivalent) regarding measurement and valuation
• Identify and flag potential cost overruns or discrepancies early to the QS Manager

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• Proven, hands-on experience on high-rise building projects is mandatory.
• Proficiency in QS software and MS Excel.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and valuation.
• Good communication skills with site engineering and subcontractor teams.
• Ability to work under pressure with tight reporting deadlines.
• Team player, comfortable working within a larger QS structure under a QS Manager.
